Lines, wrinkles
and facial sculpting

neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau)

Botulinum toxin type A is an injectable neurotoxin, most commonly known by brand names such as Botox Cosmetic®, Dysport®, Xeomin® and Jeuveau™. Neurotoxins are often used to treat wrinkles that form as a result of our most frequent facial movements like smiling, frowning and squinting. The treatment works by blocking nerve impulses to the muscles that create these movements, causing them to relax which will soften your expressions and reduce your wrinkles. They can also work to soften and sculpt the face and neck by decreasing unwanted muscle mass.

The most commonly treated areas are:

  • Furrow lines “Glabellar lines” (a.k.a. “elevens” or frown lines)

  • Wrinkles around the eyes, “crow’s feet”

  • Forehead creases

  • Corners of the mouth

  • Neck lines

  • Masseters or jaw muscles

While Botox Cosmetic, Dysport, Xeomin and Jeuveau are all neurotoxins, they have key differences in formulations which can influence dosage and how quickly you can expect to see results. After a consultation with one of our board certified dermatologists, we can determine which of these products is best for you depending on your anatomy and goals. All three products are FDA approved and have been used safely and effectively for years. Results typically last 3-4 months. Remember, Botox Cosmetic, Dysport, Xeomin and Jeuveau use does not need to result in a “frozen” or waxy look. Trust your refreshing treatment to the experts.
